At the magnificent Vajgen position in Jarenina, for more than 150 years, they are making wines that reflect Styrian terroir, family dedication and ambition to get the most out of vines. Their vineyards are located north of Maribor at 300 to 360 meter heights, where they grow vines, old from 6 to 50 years. This gives variety and depth to their wines.
Babji Kot Bubbly Wine Blanc de Blanc 2021 is made of 100% Chardonnay, following the traditional method. Grapes were gently squeezed with low pressure, basic wine matured in stainless steel tanks, which was followed by secondary fermentation in a bottle with at least 40 months of maturing on wine lees. It is also the first Jerneja's project, created from her vision.
