The tradition of their estate goes back 250 years. According to oral tradition, monks of the French order cultivated the vineyards on this property. In 1989 they specialized in viticulture, restored vineyards and now they cultivate 8 hectares. They started their wine business under Kraner-Plateis label. In 2019, they transformed their overall image and brand name to Plateis.
