Dejan Baier

Dejan Baier is one of the most prominent and influential personalities in the Slovenian wine-culoinary scene. His work intertwines organization and education that build wine culture and help to bring Slovenian wine scene to even higher level at home and abroad.

As the director of the SloVino Institute, he has spent many years developing projects that focus on quality wine, gastronomy and expert support for winemakers, caterers and general public. He is also very passionate about the organization of the VineDel Wine and Culinary Fair, rightfully named by many as the most delicious day of the year. He is also the editor of the Slovenian Wine News portal, the main digital medium dedicated to covering domestic and foreign wine events, as well as the yearly publication Wine-Culinary Trends. He is also the vicepresident of The Sommelier Society of Slovenia. His work is characterized by his expertise and bringing people togeher with the aim of strengthening wine culture and increasing recognizability of Slovenian wines.
