Robert Gorjak

is an internationally renowned wine critic and one of leading Slovenian wine professionals. He has written about wine since 1994. He is a contributor to The Oxford Companion to Wine (Jancis Robinson) and The World Atlas of Wine (Hugh Johnson, Jancis Robinson). In 2001, he founded Slovenia’s first wine school, Belvin, together with his wife Sandra. He is the first Slovenian with the WSET Diploma in Wines and Spirits. He is a judge at the Decanter World Wine Awards, for some years he was also regional chair for the DWWA. He is author of the book Slovenia – The Winemaking Country (2017) and guides Wine Guide 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
