The opening of the Festival and the celebration of 120 years of Slovenian cinema will take place today, Wednesday, July 2 at 17.30h at the Hotel Jeruzalem terrace.
Before the opening, join us at the hotel terrace for panel and workshop entitled Slovenia - Film Location with director Klemen Dvornik, producer Ira Cecić and Mojca Planšak from the Slovenian Film Centre. The theme is exploring the potential of Slovenia as a film location and encouraging foreign investments in the Slovenian audio-visual sector.
At 19h, the grand opening will be followed by the screening of Maldoror, new crime thriller by this year's guest, director Fabrice du Welz, in the Culture House Cinema.
At 21h, there will be a special screening at the Main Square - Fritz Lang's masterpiece The Testament of Dr. Mabuse, with many thanks to our partner, Goethe-Institut Ljubljana.
In our best music documentary competition, we present Grandpa Guru with guest Sanjin Hasanefendić at 21h, and The Most Australian Band Ever at 22h, both at the Hotel Jeruzalem terrace.
