IVANA RENDULIĆ JELUŠIĆ
On Thursday, the 12th of July, she will give her expert opinion on samples of wines in competition at a special public wine tasting at Ljutomer Main Square.
She is a member of the Croatian State Commission for Organoleptic Evaluation of Wine. She is also a judge at numerous regional, state and international contests: Wine Exhibition of Continental Croatia (Sv. Ivan Zelina), Krapina-Zagorje County Wine Exhibit, Sisak-Moslavina County Wine Exhibit, Bjelovar-Bilogora County Wine Exhibit, Vino Slovenija Gornja Radgona… She also lectures at Apis University and at Zagreb Adult Education Center.
On Friday, the 13th of July, he will conduct the »Presentation of Slovenian Autochthonous Grape Varieties” event at the Ljutomer City Hall Atrium.
He is an internationally renowned wine critic and has written about wine since 1994. He is a contributor to The Oxford Companion to Wine (Jancis Robinson) and The World Atlas of Wine (Hugh Johnson, Jancis Robinson). In 2001, he founded Slovenia’s first wine school, Belvin, together with his wife. In 2017 he published the book Slovenia – The Winemaking Country. He is the first Slovenian with the WSET Diploma in Wines and Spirits. He is a judge at the Decanter World Wine Awards, for some years he was also regional chair for the DWWA.
The Slovenian Wine Queen 2018 will join us on Thursday, the 12th of July at the Ljutomer Main Square, and on the festival closing ceremony on the 14th of July, also at the main Square.
The Slovenian Wine Queen institution takes care of the promotion of Slovenian wines, viticulture and the Slovenian winegrowing country. The Slovenian Wine Queen presents, around Slovenia and abroad, Slovenian wines, tourism, and cultural heritage. She promotes the culture of vine cultivation and the care and culture of wine consumption.
