After the roaring success of last year's first installment it's time for all new Queen of the Scream contest which will take place on Saturday, the 21st of July at the Main Square in Ljutomer. This time around, the competition will be also open to male contestants who will scream for the title of Mad King.


You can apply in 2 simple ways:

- send an e-mail to info@grossmann.si by Friday, the 20th of June to info@grossmann.si (with subject »Application for the Queen of the Scream/Mad King contest«)

- on Saturday, the 21st of June at the info stand at the Main Square until 16h.

Number of contestants is limited, so those who apply earlier will have priority.


This year's VIP Mistress of the Ceremonies will be the extravagant, attractive and controversial Sonya Scarlet, singer of Italian gothic metal band Theatres des Vampires. Sonya is also playing the lead role in the upcoming horror film The Cult of Lamia, the directorial debut of special FX artist David Braccia (Sleepless, Terror Firmer).
A special jury, comprised of the festival's elite guests, will be judging different aspects of the screams: volume, body language, facial expression and perhaps a special artistic impression. The chosen Queen of the Scream and Mad King will receive practical awards and symbolic crowns.
