33-year old Vidar is sick of living with his mother and hard labour on the farm. He yearns for wild nights with loose young women. One night, his prayers are heard by Jesus himself – but it turns out that the son of God is a vampire, and now Vidar too is craving for blood.

Nothing is sacred in this low-budget black comedy masterpiece where Troma meets Kaurismäki. Religion, political corectness and good taste in general are torn apart, dragged through the mud and ruthlessly stepped upon by the writer/director duo Berg/Waldeland, who provide the unsuspecting audience with numerous unforgettable scenes, backed by a marvelous musical score.

Thomas Aske Berg is a trained actor and self-taught filmmaker. He studied acting at Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York, and has starred in several films, both in Norway and USA. In 2012 he co-founded UFOh! with John Iver Berg, and together they have made several short films and music videos. 'Vidar the Vampire' is their debut feature film.
