Dutch film industry is in financial troubles while an unambitious drunken daredevil Ron Goossens finds himself in an emotional one. Maybe his only way out is to become a poor-man’s stuntman and to try to seduce a beautiful model with a movie-star potential he follows from one set to another.
Steffen & Flip, the duo responsible for New Kids films and TV-series, are back, edgy as ever, with a politically incorrect, socially aware, crowd-pleasing laugh-out-loud comedy that rocks the boat of Dutch society. Prepare for sharp humour, huge laughs and some very smart fun.
Directors, writers and actors Steffen Haars and Flip van der Kuil have had a huge success with the TV-show New Kids, which became a phenomenon in the Netherlands and across Europe. When the production company Eyeworks (Kaap Holland Film) gave them the chance to turn their show into a movie, The New Kids blockbusters not only became a hit in The Netherlands, but were also successful in Germany, Belgium, Japan, Scandinavia, etc. On top of the success at the box-office, the movies also won several awards at film festivals, like New Kids Turbo - Best Director Comedy Fantastic Fest 2011 and New Kids Nitro - Best Comedy Fantastic Fest 2012. In 2013 Haars and van der Kuil wrote and directed the romantic comedy Bros Before Hos.
