Young Kira suffers from memory loss while at the same time her skin starts to age rapidly, dry out and crumble away. She discovers by coincidence that she can replace her own skin with somebody else's. This forces her into icreasingly gruesome acts, right up until the discovery of the terrible truth.

Replace is a fullblooded body horror that reminds us of vintage David Cronenberg, while its visuals pay homage to Dario Argento (both of them are acknowledged in the Special Thanks credits). It was co-written by our guest from Grossmann 2015, Richard Stanley and features horror icon Barbara Crampton. If that's still not enough, let us also mention that Replace won Melies d'argent at this year's BIFFF.

Classically trained in Paris, Lucie Aron started her cinematographic career in Germany with films Stations of the Cross (2014) and Me and Kaminski (2015), followed by international productions Berlin Syndrome (2017) and Donna Leon - Commissario Brunetti (TV film, 2016), as well as many short films. Recently you can see her in the original Amazon series You are Wanted.
