Severin Fiala

Severin Fiala first gained recognition for the award-winning short Elephant Skin (2009), which he co-directed with Ulrike Putzer. His first joint project with Veronika Franz (who has also been Ulrich Seidl’s artictic collaborator since 1997) was the internationally award-winning documentary Kern (2012), followed by their first joint fiction feature, Goodnight Mommy (2014). Their second live action feature The Lodge won the Vicious Cat award at Grossmann 2020.
